On 22 April, a significant lava overflow occurred from the southern pit crater, traveling towards the north. The molten lava has extended beyond the northern rim of the southern pit crater and covered a vast area of the northern pit crater.
A vigorous spattering, characterized by the ejecting of hot, plastic lava fragments, continues to be generated from a new, sizeable hornito. The hornito has been constructing over the past month, located somewhere in between the southern and northern pit crater.
